We’re pleased to announce the 2024 Arizona Rider of the Year is Emmi Gilbert (University of Arizona)! The Rider of the Year is an annual award given to an Arizona rider based upon their contributions to the sport. Emmi started as a new racer in the fall of 2023 and was hooked! In 2024, she registered for just about every race on the calendar and often multiple categories on the same day. She quickly moved from category 5 to category 2 in 6 months, including 3 stage wins and the overall GC at the 2024 amateur women’s Tour of the Gila.

Off the bike, Emmi is one of the UA Team’s road vice presidents, helps organize races (like the 2025 Twist and Turn trials), and coordinates travel logistics for the team.
